Children Right Defence Association
We are a young people group full of solidarity of peace and love which fights for the survival and the improvement of the conditions of the women and children. To arrive at this end we have create a web site which will allow us certainly to create a network of friendship and international solidarity without distinction of race, religion, colour, sex; to develop the partnership to fight against the poverty and the social inequalities.
Bréhima Konaté was born in Bamako, capital of Mali, after secondary education at the Askia Mohamed secondary school and superior at the national School of Administration where from I studied public law, I worked as General Secretary of Massantola's rural district during three years. Then I returned in Bamako to follow English and data processing courses, courses which continue until our days.
One day when I returned of my courses, a 8 year old begging child who wants to cross the road, is overturned by a vehicle of public transport, breaking of the blow two legs.
Another day (on Monday morning at 7 o'clock), another 11 year old begging child who wants to beg collided a vehicle. This child, before receiving first care died at the time.
For this day, children fate marked a lot me and I saw badly the situation of the children beggars and young employees who increased in number from day to day. And so one on Thursday morning I moved closer to a group of children beggars by the roadside to ask them if they could agree to go to the school, if this opportunity was offered, in summary they declare: We want to go to the school, but we fight to give some money and to eat to our parents
.
It is from there that germinated in me the idea to create the CRDA. So the CRDA was born on March 28th, 2006 and schooled on stockholders' equity (contributions of members) thirty (30) children in difficult situation among whom the orphans, in the school year 2006-2007.
So that the action of the CRDA has a total efficiency we decided to spread our assistance to the mothers of the taken care children. Because children and their mothers fight to feed the family, because the fathers doesn't work and have no professional qualification.
We help the women to regroup in association and to create generative activities of income which will allow them to take care and to school one day their children.
With own fund (subscription of the members) the CRDA proceeded in schooling of thirty (30) children in difficult situation fifteen (15) of which to Yirimadio (Commune VI of the District of Bamako) and fifteen (15) to Sabalibougou (Municipality V of the District of Bamako) in the school year 2006-2007.
Assistance brought to these children is about to the following responsibilities: establishment of auxiliary judgments, payment of the expenses of registration, purchase of didactic materials and school stationeries, payment of the expenses of the annual school cooperative, preparation of tables, supplementary classes, and sanitary coverage.
All the schooled children are the object of a weekly and periodic follow-up, a quarterly and annual evaluation of the members of the CRDA.
So the period of the assistance will spread out on all the first cycle of the fundamental school. For that purpose project will be long-term considering the number of year of assistance and the high number of educable children not schooled in the districts which were retained for the realization of the project.
